Calling

Although the Internet has made quite an impact on the hotel industry, our company has continued to offer in house calling. We believe that inquiring each area of revenue is important. If you are taking the time to research your competitor’s rates through the GDS system or Internet home pages, the same research should be done through other areas of revenue.

Calling is a key function of our business. It has taken years to modify not only the reports but also the style in which the reports are called on. After years of altering the pattern, we have found the best style in which to call the hotels. We established how to train the staff to call the hotels without the Reservations Department realizing they are being shopped. We have found that if hotel staff know they are being shopped, they will not quote the rates accurately.

• Callers are able to obtain the “best available rate” without receiving non-qualified rates.
• We offer the above listed shops through in house or central reservations with the exception of group shops, which are called through the sales department.
• Callers are trained to call in a certain pattern, unless other instructions are given by the client.
• Our special request shops are completed by a separate staff trained for these forms of reports, in view of the fact that a great deal of information is needed.

Internet

Our staff is very proficient on the Internet. They are not only trained to analyze the difference between the types of rates, they are educated in the hotel’s home pages, how to view packages, length of stay analysis, and usable rates. They also are trained to modify currency when applicable.

• We retrieve the information through many different sources which you may choose from. We offer Internet in which we will look up your information through one day at a time.
• Our staff will individualize the rates such as rack, corporate, qualified or non-qualified, depending on what the client requests.
• Although our standard report is 28 days, we will check any length of stay at the client’s requests.
