Hotel Information Services provides a wide range of reports to meet all of your needs. Below is a list of our specialty reports. We can also customize reports to meet your specific needs.
Audio Visual Report
This report will shop the audio visual department of your competitive hotels. Pricing and the menus will be provided. You may provide your own criteria.

Beverage Catering Report
This report will shop the lounges/bars of your competitive hotels. Pricing and the menus will be provided. You may provide your own criteria.

Extended Rate Forecast
This is a forecast of your competitors’ rates for a certain length of time; for example, 1 to 4 days, 5 to 13 days, etc. You may change the length of stay as needed.

Travel Agent Test Call
Monitor how your hotel is selling by major travel agencies. You can choose your feeder cities.

Extended Stay Reports
On these shops, we call the hotel directly and ask for availability on the specified date. We tell the agents we are not sure of the exact duration for our stay and would like to get an idea of the possible charges. The scenarios used vary from moving to the area, extended personal or professional business, house remodeling, trial separation from spouse, etc. Anything goes as long as we get the information.

Restaurant Shops
Equivalent to the catering shop, but we list the hotel’s restaurant prices.

Package Shops
This report will show you what packages are being offered at your competitive hotels. We will show you a detailed list of what those packages include. The shop will help you to project seasonal or promotional pricing.

Wholesale Reports
These reports can be slightly tricky depending upon the location being shopped. You give us the specifics, dates of travel, number of travelers, any options requested such as rental car, air/hotel packages. You also give us the names, websites, and phone numbers of the wholesalers you would like us to shop. We do our best to obtain the information for you. For these shops, it is helpful if you provide us with as many specifics as possible to get the most accurate information. If you know which airport you want to shop travelers flying in to/out of, that is most helpful as one variance can change the rate drastically. We have found it difficult to obtain information from overseas retailers.

Sales Agent Test Calls
This report will tell you how YOUR agents are handling future business calls. How attentive are they to obtain business? How long do they put you on hold? Do they up sell their property? Hotels are called as specified. We ask for the exact criteria we are given with no changes. Agents are graded on everything from tone of voice to knowledge of destination. We play close attention to any specific areas clients have asked us to watch for. The caller’s opinions are used heavily in these shops because each individual reacts differently to the same situation.
This is a good tool to shop your agents and grade them on a scale on how they sell your hotel to future groups.

Hotel Fee Shop
This report is great for new hotels just opening or a hotel that is interested in learning what fees their competitor is charging.

Golf Package Report
Shops the golf packages offered by your competitive hotels, including a detailed list of the prices and what the packages include.
Rate-Selling Strategy

This report will show you what types of rates are offered on your competitive set. You may choose from qualified or non-qualified rates.
