Extended Stay reports are done very different than competitive rate surveys. Our agent will call the hotel directly and ask for availability on the date that you have designated. We tell the reservationists that we are not exactly sure how long we will need to stay and that would like to get an idea of the possible charges for various stay lengths.
We break down the stays by 1-7 nights, 8-14 nights, 7-21 nights, and 30 plus nights. If you need to request a different length of stay, for instance 60 or 90 days, just ask, we can accommodate nearly anything you need. Any minimum night stay requirements are always noted. Standard rooms are checked unless you specify otherwise. In the event that the date you choose is sold out, we will move it out by a week back or forward in search of better availability. As an added bonus for you, if we are given any special amenity information, we will pass that information along as well. I.e. all-suite hotel, kitchenettes, free breakfast, free parking, free HSIA. If we run in to any issues getting the information, that will be passed along.
The scenarios we use while performing these shops can vary anywhere from our family is moving to the area, we need an extended personal stay, we will be on professional business, checking for my boss, on extended training, having our house remodeled, going through a trial separation from spouse, have family coming in to town, etc. Any reason works as long as it is remotely believable and we can get the information for you.
The completed report is presented to you in an emailed Excel spreadsheet. Turnaround time is usually 1 – 2 business days.
